Registration for the summer program begins on
Mon, June 29th!
The Rosthern Playground Program was created in 2011 to give kids in the Rosthern area the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of arts, sports and cultural activities throughout their summer holidays.
Due to COVID-19 the program has had to make significant changes to follow all public health and Government of Saskatchewan guidelines to ensure the health & safety of everyone!
This summer we will be providing activity kits for pick-up, online activities and 2 in-person activities/week! See the weekly schedule below!
When - Where - Cost
- Running July 6th - August 21st, Tuesday - Friday
- At your home, online and at the Jubilee Sports Centre!
- $50 - Family, $25 - Single Child

Sign up for in-person activities for the week for your allotted age group through google classrooms. Participants can also sign up by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org .
*You must be registered for the program to receive access to Google Classrooms. Register here
Activity kit pick-up at the arena; 9:00am - 12:00, 1:00 - 4:00
In-person activities for the playground program at the arena, ages 5-8.
**Maximum of 10 children per group, first come first serve**
Online interactive activities, provided through google classrooms. An alternative platform to access activities can be requested.
In-person activities for Teen Dayz (ages 9-14) from 1:00-4:00 pm at the arena.

Registration will begin on Monday, June 29th. The first 50 registrants will receive a Canada Day Kit! These can be picked up at the arena on Mon, June 29th or Tues, June 30th from 9:00 am - noon and 1:00 - 4:00 pm!
Register online or at the Town Office! Payments can be accepted at Town Office Mon-Fri, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with cash, cheque, debit/credit
Payment can also be accepted at the arena on Mon, June 29th or Tues, June 30th and Tuesdays for the remainder of the summer with Cash or Cheque only. Cheques to be made out to Town of Rosthern.
What will be in the activity kits and what kind of online programming will there be?
The activity kits will have craft supplies, coloring sheets and other activities included in them! The online programming will have body breaks to get your kids moving, instructional videos and other virtual activities!
How do I Stay in Touch with the Program?
We will be using Google Classrooms as our platform for online activities. Download the Google Classrooms App to receive notifications! An invite will be sent to you upon registration to access our Google Classroom.
Not comfortable sending your child(ren) for the in-person activities due to COVID-19?
No problem! You can pick-up an activity kit on Tuesdays for your child to do from home and registration grants you access to the Google Classrooms so your child can participate in the virtual activities!
