Rosthern Fire Department is the product of the co-operation of the Town of Rosthern and the Rural Municipality of Rosthern (403) to provide its citizens with emergency services. To this end, each entity has provided Rosthern Fire Department with an apparatus and equipment.
Currently, we have 13 members that comprise the Fire Department and/or the Rescue (Extrication) Squad. We are dispatched through Prince Albert Emergency Communication Center, which handles 911 calls. Regular meetings for the Fire Department are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
The Rescue Squad holds its meetings the second Wednesday of the month.
When we are not out on active calls, Rosthern Fire Department participates in educational and community events.

Rosthern Fire Department often addresses seasonal issues through the local newspaper.
Both the Fire and Rescue members annually attend the Demolition Derby, and participate in the Town and Country Fair Parade, contributing their time and expertise to community events.
Rosthern Fire Department and Rescue Squad encourage citizens to join their team. An application form is available through the website or the Town of Rosthern upon request.

Mission Statement
Rosthern Fire Department is firmly committed to protecting the lives and property of our citizens and visitors by providing excellence in fire suppression, prevention, rescue, extrication and education.
Staff
Rosthern Fire Department currently is staffed with five Officers and thirteen members.
The Chief position is currently vacant and Rosthern runs with two Deputy Chiefs, two Captains and a Resque Squad Leader.
The Deputy Chiefs are members of the Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs (SAFC).
All members of Rosthern Fire Department are members of the Saskatchewan Volunteer Fire Fighter Association (SVFFA).
