Services


The Town of Rosthern is the site of a number of Municipal and Public Services.

Rosthern Hospital

These Services Include:

  • A hospital with services provided by five physicians
  • Ambulance services, serving Rosthern and district
  • Fire department and rescue squad consisting of 20 qualified members
  • Sheltered workshop: Valley Action Abilities
  • Chiropractic clinic
  • Medical clinic, a modern facility, with five family physicians and ten staff
  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police Detachment with eleven police personnel and 2 civilian staff
  • Rosthern Community Multi-Purpose Centre serving as gymnasium facilities for the elementary school day, and as a community facility for conventions or social functions.
  • Transit bus: A 15 passenger transit bus provides transportation.
  • Saskatoon Health Region, with offices in Rosthern, offers the following services.
  • Addiction services
  • Community therapy (occupational and physiotherapy)
  • Dietician consultation
  • Health promotion
  • Home care
  • Mental health
  • Public health nurses

Provincial Government Services:
Rosthern is home to several government services in the community. SaskPower, SaskEnergy, SaskTel and Saskatchewan Highways and Transportation, and the Rosthern Housing Authority, maintain offices and service staff in Rosthern.
