Bylaw 2002-27
A Bylaw to Regulate and Control the Sale and Discharge of Fireworks.
The Council of the Town of Rosthern hereby enacts as follows:

No individual, group of individuals, organization(s) or corporation(s) shall discharge fireworks in the Town of Rosthern without first obtaining permission from the Town Administrator or designate.

Notwithstanding Section (1), the Rosthern Town & Country Fair Board shall be given permission to discharge fireworks in the Town of Rosthern on the August long weekend (Fair weekend) by obtaining a permit to do so from the Town Administrator.

No one shall discharge fireworks under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

Every person who contravenes any provision of this bylaw is guilty of an offence and liable, on summary conviction, to fines as set out in the General Penalty Bylaw of the Town of Rosthern.

Bylaw 8820 is hereby repealed.

This bylaw shall come into force on the date of its adoption by Council.
Introduced and read a FIRST time this 12th day of August, 2002.
Read a SECOND time this 12th day of August, 2002.
Read a THIRD time and passed this 12th day of August, 2002.
