The Valley Aquatic Centre is operational from May long weekend - to the last weekend in August (weather and staff permitting)

This modern Junior Olympic-sized pool features a walk-out zero-depth recreation wing, spray bar, water umbrella and diving board. The facility is completely wheelchair accessible, and offers a full array of swimming lesson opportunities.

Rules at the Pool

  • Showering: All patrons must shower before entering the pool.
  • Horseplay (chicken fights/back flips/jumps/dives) and running are not permitted on pool grounds.
  • Diving is permitted in the deep end only (past the second rope).
  • Ropes are not meant to be hung, sat or played on.
  • The use of play equipment is at discretion of staff.
  • Admittance is prohibited to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Street shoes are not permitted past the entrance.
  • Food (including gum) and drinks (other than water) are not permitted on the deck other than at the picnic tables. Food and drink are also permitted on the grass areas. Glass containers are not permitted anywhere in the vicinity of the pool.
  • Persons with open sores are not permitted to use the pool. Please consult the Pool Manager if unsure.
  • Children 6 and under must remain within arms reach of a parent or guardian (age 16+) at all times. Only two children are allowed per guardian. Permission to be out of arms reach may be granted by lifeguards if a distance swim of 10 m is completed to their standards. Regardless, a guardian must remain in the pool at all times.
  • The Manager and/or Recreation Manager must approve any tests, pictures, reports and/or videos involving the pool and its programs.
  • Pool mats are only to be used during slow hours of the pool, (less than 20 swimmers) and all mats must remain a minimum of 5 feet away from the pool edge to avoid entrapment, falling injuries and to ensure proper visual scans are completed by the staff on duty.


When: Wednesdays starting May 29th - July 31st (as long as level of participation is maintained)
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Cost: $8.30/person or included with Adult Season Passes or Punch Cards
Aquasize is a drop-in exercise class in the pool led by an instructor. It is open to all ages and fitness levels and is a great way to get active in the outdoors this summer!

Private Rentals
Private rentals can be booked on Saturday/Sunday mornings and during supper breaks, as well as Monday-Friday over Adult Swim/ Parent & Tot (with a maximum of two during the week to allow for adequate Adult Swim/ Parent & Tot times).

Swimming Lessons

The Valley Aquatic Centre offers regular swimming lessons as well as private lessons!
Swimming Lesson Registration will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Rosthern Jubilee Sports Centre. After this date, registrations will be accepted at the Valley Aquatic Centre.
To accommodate the high interest in private lessons this year a separate registration will be held on Monday, June 3rd from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the Rosthern Jubilee Sports Centre. After this date, please contact the VAC at 306-232-5044 to inquire on private lesson availability.
